The PSPTB Act (CAP 179) created the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board (PSPTB), which is in charge of overseeing the procurement and supply industry. Procurement and supply professionals must register under PSPTB Act, Sec. 7(g). Additionally, the Board must periodically identify the primary routes into the procurement and supply profession in accordance with PSPTB Regulation 10(7) of 2009.
The Board looked over the 2016 registration requirements for technicians, consulting firms, tuition providers, and procurement and supply experts. Changes in the professional world led to the evaluation, which made it necessary to produce the Membership Registration Criteria (Revised Edition of 2022) in order to improve professionalism and clarity.
Among other things, the updated edition accounted for the PSPTB curriculum and syllabus requirements, the requirements of the public and private schemes of services, the execution of strategic initiatives in both the public and private sectors, and the advancement of the cadre from the operational to the strategic level.
