Procurement and Human Resource Officer Job at HelpAge
To provide effective procurement management support to programmes and bridging the management and employee relations as per HAT’s procurement and HR policies and procedures. She(he) will also be responsible for managing organizational assets and nurturing a positive working environment and logistics management of all procured supplies, services and works.
He/she will also be responsible for logistic management of all procured supplies, services, developing and implementing Human Resource strategies and initiatives and ensuring due diligence and compliance to HAT’s own procurement and HR policies and procedures, those of donors and statutory requirements of regulatory authorities in Tanzania.
We are looking for a dynamic person who is familiar with Procurement and HR processes who can assume responsibility for managing and ensuring the effective implementation and evaluation of procurement and HR procedures consistent with standard practices and HelpAge Tanzania HR and Procurement management procedures and principles. The post holder is expected to have effective communication skills both written and verbal in English and Kiswahili with ability to engage at the grassroots level, CSOs and relevant departments in the Government.
Person Specification
Education/Qualifications/Knowledge
- At least bachelor’s degree in Procurement and Supplies Management, Accounting, or related discipline with ddemonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics and HR systems and databases
- Preferred 3 years procurement management experience and HR. Working with INGO will be added advantage.
- Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
- Computer skills is required especially good command in excel and word.
