As a Product Manager – Digital Lending, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital lending and savings products. Your responsibilities will include credit policy review, financial risk management, product development, and project management.
Key Responsibilities/Tasks:
- Product Strategy: Guide the strategy and support the implementation of digital loans and savings product development, delivery, and operations.
- Growth and Revenue: Develop strategies to maximize growth and revenue for digital lending products while maintaining a quality portfolio.
- Data Analysis: Monitor key performance indicators, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement to optimize lending operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors on projects, planning, and execution of product changes.
- Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and conduct competitive analysis to enhance customer journey and satisfaction.
- Partnerships: Foster relationships with fintech, MNOs, and other external stakeholders to explore innovative lending and savings solutions.
- Risk Management: Implement risk management practices and controls to mitigate potential risks associated with digital lending.
- User Experience: Continuously improve the user experience and customer journey across all online touchpoints to optimize conversion rates and revenue.
- Product Lifecycle: Manage all aspects of the product lifecycle, including strategy, conceptualization, user research, prototyping, rollout, and enhancements.
- Customer Engagement: Respond creatively to inquiries and complaints, engaging positively with customers via social media.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- In-depth understanding of the product life cycle.
- Strong credit skills and knowledge.
- Sound understanding of the bank’s loan products, policies, and procedures.
- Knowledge of various functions within the bank, including digital lending, collections/loan workouts, and operations.
- Strong market knowledge.
- Proficiency in constructing reports, executive summaries, and briefs.
Academic / Professional Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Business, Accountancy, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- MBA will be an added advantage.
Working Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in driving product and business development.
- Proven leadership and people management experience (at least 5 years).
