Zanzibar Revenue Authority (ZRA), is the main agency of the Government The Zanzibar Revolution for the Collection and Management of Local Tax Revenues, established by Law number 11 of 2022. In order to increase the efficiency of Government revenue collection, ZRA intends to fill various leadership positions for ZRA applicants, other employees of the Revolutionary Government Zanzibar, as well as applicants from other institutions with Zanzibar credentials.
The following are the Positions intended to be filled:
1. Commissioners in Revenue Collection Departments and Heads of Divisions 1. LARGE TAXPAYERS DEPARTMENT
RESPONSIBILITIES: To manage the Voluntary Tax payment of large taxpayers of local and international companies, of the Tourism Industry and of the Special Sector; Ensuring the systems of large taxpayers are connected (Integration) with the sales management system for electronic receipts of ZRA i.e. VFMS; Preventing tax evasion methods for companies with relations with companies outside Zanzibar; Designing and managing strategies that will ensure that large taxpayers in Zanzibar pay taxes appropriately and on time. In addition, the Department will be responsible for the management of receipt of tax on time, payment of tax on time, identification and collection of debts of large taxpayers, as well as inspection of correct and timely tax payment.
