Our 3.0Mta plant in Mtwara – about 400km from Dar es Salaam – was commissioned in December 2015 and is the largest cement factory in Tanzania. With about 500 million tonnes of limestone reserves, enough for 149 years, the plant is capable of producing large amounts of high-quality 32.5 and 42.5 grade cements to meet local market needs at competitive prices, as well as surrounding export markets by sea.
Key duties & Responsibilities
Maintain a safe and acceptable environment for patients and staff and taking appropriate action. Reporting incidents/ accidents/ complaints to the in-charge. Act in a supportive role to the Senior Staff/in-charge and to accept appropriate delegated responsibilities. Checking the stock on a regular basis for maintaining the inventory level and placing orders if required. Changing patient’s medication as indicated by their conditions and responses. Adhering with the protocols, norms, rules, and regulations in order to maintain complete medical records.
Maintaining hygienic and safe working environment in compliance with the healthcare procedures. To maintain a professional friendly atmosphere and create a dignified environment, Providing instant care during medical emergencies, like car accidents, burns, heart attacks, strokes any others. Ensure teamwork and complete assigned tasks and seek for help from your seniors to ensure delivery of quality care to clients. Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team, patients/clients and their relatives and friends. Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior or Doctor.
Requirements
- Holder of Diploma in Nursing.
- Registered with Tanzania Nurses and Midwives Council and must have a valid practicing license.
- At least 2 years’ proven experience as a registered nurse.
- Patient Management skills.
- Team worker, able to work in a multicultural environment, punctual and high integrity.
- Moderate computer knowledge / ICT skills.
- Effective organizational and intercommunication skills, and teamwork.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, and able to work flexible hours including weekend.
- Good command of both English and Swahili languages.
- Attentive to details and keen for completion.
