We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, people-oriented Warehouse Officer who will be responsible to mantain the warehouse role of the company accurately and up to date
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work closely with Warehouse Supervisor to learn and master all aspects of warehouse operations.
- Ensure all warehouse team members are following all safety standards.
- Accurately pulls, fills, packs and sets up orders for delivery or pickup.
- Assist customers and drivers with loading product in the vehicle by hand or with forklifts if available
- Insure the warehouse stays safe, clean, clutter-free and operating efficiently.
- Establish and maintain inventory control systems for all items/ reagents and other equipment, keep inventory current at all times, notify customers of any reagents shortages.
- Arrange for regular removal and recycling of appropriate production boxes, plastics, paper, etc.
- Ensure goods do not leave without proper documentation.
- Assist on receiving of goods as per required standards.
- Assist with stock taking of inventory.
- Assist in security and safeguard of inventory.
- May be required to perform other related duties as required and/or assigned by management.Â
Requirements and Baseline SkillsÂ
- A degree in Procurement and Supply or material handling management from a recognized Institution.
- Certificate of Registration in the Procurement and Supplies Professionals and Technicians Board
- Evidence of 2+ years of practical experience in logistics or within the field of supply chain management (preferable in a hospital, Laboratory or medical warehouse) will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of security and asset management systems will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work under pressure to pursue multiple tasks simultaneously to successful conclusions
- Good writing and communication skills, ability to quickly summarize complex issues and communicate in an effective, clear and accessible manner.
