BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MINING ENGINEERING
his programme is designed to provide students with a broad background for a modern mining career and thus to produce highly qualified mining engineers to suit the fast growing mining industry.
What and how will you learn?
Students shall obtain valuable knowledge on the state of the art mining engineering, drilling and blasting, rock mechanics, mine design, ventilation and transportation. Learning shall be through lectures, seminars, industrial training and internships.
Entry requirements
Direct entry qualifications
Two principal passes of at least a ‘D’ grade in Mathematics and Physics and at least an ‘E’ grade in Chemistry or Geography at A’ Level.
Equivalent entry qualifications
Diploma/ FTC in Mining Engineering with an average of ‘B’ or GPA of 3.0 and four passes at O’ Level Science subjects.
