HSE Officer Job

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor and analyze HSE metrics to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to management.
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety and awareness.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with departments to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Stay updated with relevant laws and regulations related to HSE and ensure the company’s compliance.
- Lead emergency response drills and ensure the availability of appropriate safety equipment.
- Participate in internal and external audits to assess HSE performance and implement necessary improvements.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and management regarding HSE-related matters.
Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an HSE Officer or a similar role in an industrial setting.
- Excellent knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with employees at all levels.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing HSE programs and initiatives.
- Certification in relevant HSE courses will be an added advantage.
