Viwango Vipya Vya Mishahara The PSC was established to improve Performance Management Systems in service delivery, as stated in the Tanzania Public Service Management and Employment Policy of 1999, which was updated in 2008. Apart from accepting and acting on appeals, the PSC’s principal purpose is to ensure that employers, appointing and disciplinary authorities in the Public Services follow the laws, rules, and procedures when exercising their statutory responsibilities pertaining to the Service.
In 2014 , the Government implemented new Salary Scales, The Tanzania civil service has a common pay and grading system.
