Position Overview
The project engineer will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the property department, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards. This role requires collaboration with stakeholders, risk management, and driving process improvements to achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
- Technical Expertise
- Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordination
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (internal/external) to ensure seamless execution.
- Quality Control
- Implement QA/QC processes to maintain high standards and deliverables.
- Risk Management
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Documentation
- Maintain accurate project records, including progress reports, change orders, and compliance logs.
- Communication
- Facilitate clear and timely updates between stakeholders, contractors, and teams.
- Compliance
- Ensure adherence to local regulations, safety protocols, and industry standards.
- Leadership
- Manage staff-related matters, including mentoring junior engineers and contractors.
- Financial Management
- Assist in budget preparation, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
- Problem Solving & Innovation
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and implement innovative solutions for efficiency gains.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field).
- Experience:
- Minimum 7 years in the construction industry, with a focus on property/real estate projects.
- Proven track record in project management or engineering roles.
- Certifications: PMP certification (preferred but not mandatory).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
