The High Commission of India, Dar es Salaam, is accepting applications for the position of local clerk 4.
The following terms and conditions apply to the recruitment of four local clerk positions at the High Commission of India in Dar es Salaam:
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Form VI with a basic understanding of computers. We encourage those with a bachelor’s degree to apply.
Age:
- Preferably 20 to 35 years.
Experience/Qualities:
- Experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask well, pay close attention to details, and have a strong sense of teamwork.
Language:
- Good command of written and spoken English and Kiswahili is required.
Health & Medical:
- The individual should be fit and in good health. Prior to issuing the appointment letter, a medical certificate will be necessary.
Police Record:
- The appointment is subject to police clearance.
Salary per Month:
- Pay scale as per the Government of India’s approval. Currently, it is USD 810 plus allowances.
Nature of Job:
- The job entails handling tasks such as:
- Putting up drafts/notes
- Settlement of invoices
- Liaising with local authorities when required
- Protocol work
- Any other tasks as assigned by reporting officers.

Application Process
Instructions for Applying: Interested parties may submit their applications and resumes to the High Commission of India’s Head of Chancery at 213/51 Shaaban Robert Street, PO Box No. 2684, Dar es Salaam. The application must be turned in by December 31, 2024, which is eight days after this advertisement is published.
Candidates are requested to include:
- A recent passport-size photograph
- A copy of their identity card with the application.
Selection Procedure: A three-member High Commission committee will interview candidates before choosing them. For three months, the chosen applicant will be on probation. Successful completion of the probationary period is a prerequisite for confirmation.
