To support the Human Resource Business Partner, Line Management and Staff through the delivery of a professional HR management service, by means of a dynamic business partnership. To assist Line Management with the implementation and management of Human Resources policies, procedures, systems, and practices at operational level. Be accountable for developing, implementing, and maintaining the efficient operation of the departments administration, by supporting the workflow of the department through teamwork.
Key Accountabilities:
The role involves liaising with and supporting the HR Business Partner (HRBP) to ensure compliance with all mandatory physical employee documentation and updates in the HR Information System (HRIS), known as HRDB. Responsibilities include opening employee files for new hires to ensure all required documents are collected according to the DSC onboarding checklist and uploaded into the HRDB system, which encompasses tasks such as issuing ID cards.
Additionally, the position entails managing internal employee communications, handling employee database queries, assisting employees with system updates and issues via MTW, and collaborating with the HRBP to uphold compliance with Tanzanian labor laws and DSC policies. Other duties encompass reviewing HR policies, maintaining records of performance management actions such as disciplinary hearings and performance improvement plans (PIPs),
Communicating employee-related matters such as new hires, departures, holidays, and birthdays, overseeing sick leave and employee declarations, facilitating employee exits by issuing certificates of service, supporting employee engagement initiatives, ensuring compliance with conflict of interest and code of conduct policies, administering the DSC reward program and long service awards, and managing other assigned administrative tasks within the Employee Relations office. Additionally, the role may involve undertaking other duties as assigned by the line manager.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree qualification in Business related
- HR certification
- 1-2 years’ experience in general HR administration
