It further requires students to learn different theories and skills related to translation, interpretation, and composition of various texts, editing and proofreading, dictionary making and teaching Kiswahili as a Second/Foreign language. Two principal passes, at least “C” grade in Kiswahili and in one of the following subjects: History, English, Geography, Arabic, French or Fine Art..
Equivalent entry qualifications
Diploma in Translation and Interpretation, Kiswahili, Secondary/Teacher Education (with one of the arts teaching subjects being Kiswahili) or Education (with one of the arts teaching subjects being Kiswahili) with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0 and four passes at “O” Level.
