The accountant also provides advice to management on how best to use their resources to enhance profitability. Responsibilities
- Oversees the work of subordinates, assigns tasks, and assesses output.
- Oversees, plans, coordinates, and schedules the operations of a number of accounting sectors or a specific accounting function.
- Creates financial reports and reconciliations and/or oversees their preparation.
- creates and/or oversees the creation of specialized or extremely intricate management reports, statements, surveys, or analyses.
- Keeps track of budgetary and accounting documents.
- It suggests alternatives to management in cases where accounting data points to patterns or circumstances that call for action outside the purview of duties.
- Keep track of all office supplies, equipment, and fixed assets. Make sure that all of these are insured, maintained, and that any losses or damages are reported.
- Offers written and spoken instruction on accounting systems, processes, and practices.
- Maintain proper coding and allocations while preparing monthly financial reports.
- Oversee project audits, including financial report creation and financial support document filing.
- Offers technical assistance and guidance to lower-level accountants or other employees who are dealing with challenging situations or unique projects.
- Help project personnel create project activity budgets and handle requests for budget modifications.
- Investigates and assesses updated or novel accounting concepts and procedures.

Skills and Qualifications
- Understanding of accounting theory, techniques, and concepts.
- Understanding of supervisory concepts, procedures, and methods.
- Be mindful of the details.
- Familiarity with mainframe systems, personal computers, and general software programs, preferably SAGE 300 Advance, as well as computerized accounting systems and applications.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, proficient IT skills, sound planning and organizing abilities, a great grasp of numbers and attention to detail, integrity, teamwork, leadership, and the capacity to operate in a multicultural setting.
