Article 88(1) of the Constitution creates the Secretariat of the Parliament with the responsibility of enable the Parliament to carry out its duties. On that basis, the Secretariat of The Parliament announces job vacancies for various Cadres to strengthen its performance.

Tanzania Parliament like its counterparts, in other countries, is the Supreme Legislature of the country. It consists of the President of the United Republic and the National Assembly. It grants money for running the administration of the country and is a very effective instrument for overseeing Government programs and plans. It can also oversee the action of the Executive by being a watchdog to ensure that government is accountable for its administration. The most important function of Parliament is to make laws. The subjects on which Parliament can legislate have been laid down in the Constitution. Parliament is sovereign in the sphere of Legislation. The scheme of our Constitution being a United Republic, the Tanzania parliament that is a Union Parliament exercises autonomous powers in the sphere of both Union and Nonunion Matters which are not under the purview of Zanzibar Government. In view of that Parliament can assume the following roles:
- To pass laws for the good governance.
- To provide, by giving legislative sanction to taxation and acquisition of means to carrying out the work of the government.
- To scrutinize government policy and administration, including proposal for expenditure; and to debate major issues of the day.
All qualified and capable Tanzanians are invited to send their applications to fill out job vacancies as listed below:-
1. ACCOUNTS OFFICER GRADE II (ACCOUNTS OFFICER II) – POSITION 1 – PSSD
a) Qualifications of the Applicant
Employment with “Intermediate Certificate” (Module D) issued by NBAA or other equivalent qualifications recognized by the NBAA. Bachelor of Business/Arts majoring in Accounting. Advanced Diploma in Accountancy from any Institution recognized by Government.
b) Work and Responsibilities of Accounts Officer Grade II
i) Participating in writing income and expenditure information;
ii) Collaborating with the Accountant to prepare information on entities;
iii) Participating in settlement of bank and other related accounts
and financial issues;
iv) Prepare various salary information;
v) Writing payment documents and receipt documents;
vi) Keeping the deposit register; and
vii) To do other tasks in his field that will be assigned by his Head of work.
2. RECORDS ASSISTANT GRADE II (RECORDS MANAGEMENT
ASSISTANT II) – POSITION 1 – PSS B
a) Qualifications of the Applicant
Employed graduates of the fourth or sixth form with a care certificate
memory.
b) Duties and Responsibilities of Second Class Archives Assistant
i) Finding records/documents/files needed by readers;
ii) Control the receipt, registration of records/documents;
iii) Analyzing, cataloging and organizing records/documents in groups according to the relevant subject (classification and boxing) for Office use;
iv) Placing/organizing records/documents in racks (file racks/cabinets) in archives/archives;
v) Keeping records (letters, documents, etc.) in files;
vi) Handling requests for records/documents from Institutions Government.
vii) To do other tasks in his field that he will be assigned by his Head of work.
GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL APPLICANTS
i) All applicants must be Tanzanian citizens and must be of age 45 years.
ii) All applicants must attach a birth certificate.
iii) Applicants who are already public servants and have earned it qualifications to enter different cadres than they have, pass them their job application letters to their Employers and Employers should satisfy themselves accordingly.
iv) Applicants should attach sufficient personal information (Detailed
C.V) with addresses and reliable phone numbers as well the names of three reliable referees as well recent photo (passport size).
v) All applications must be accompanied by copies of professional certificates certified by a Lawyer/Attorney which are formal certificates fourth and sixth form for those who reached that level with certificates to graduate various training based on the characteristics of the relevant work Like:-
Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates; Form IV and VI exam certificate;
Computer Certificate; and Professional certificates issued by the Board/Institute
that govern professions (Professional certificates from respective boards);
vi) Document the results of the Fourth and Sixth Forms (FORM IV AND FORM VI
RESULTSSLIPS) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
vii) Applicants should have a National ID or Number That ID.
viii) Applicants who studied outside Tanzania should verify their certificates have been reviewed and approved by the relevant Authority (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).
ix) Applicants should never have been convicted of an offence criminal.
x) Applicants retired from the Public Service are not allowed apply unless they have the approval of the Secretary General.
ix. Job applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions those in the public service should not beg and they should follow the instructions in the Circular

xi) Job applicants who do not submit falsified information will be rejected legal action.
