We are looking for active and qualified individuals to fill the following roles:
Medical Sales Representative: 3 Positions: Based in Dar es Salaam & Arusha
Role Purpose:
The primary duty of the Medical Sales Representatives, who report to the Commercial Sales Manager, is to engage with distributors and customers by using their product knowledge to increase MST’s sales.
Among the key responsibilities:
- Sales and medical details, including educating and promoting the Marie Stopes Tanzania line of pharma goods to health care providers.
- One-on-one or/and group discussion highlighting highlights of the benefits of Marie Stopes Tanzania products.
- Building and sustaining excellent relationships with healthcare experts, hospitals, pharmacies, and clinics.
- Locating possible customers in their areas and organizing the way to communicate with them and other suppliers under the manager’s direction.
- Reaching predetermined goals in their designated areas, including collecting debt by the due date.
- Putting MST’s brands and products on the market in a specific number of stores within the designated areas.
- Collaborating closely with important distributors to help them with secondary sales (i.e., sales to retail outlets) and to produce primary sales.
- Displaying point-of-sale materials and managing merchandise in retail establishments.
- Organizing and, occasionally, carrying out CMEs in the relevant fields.
- Identifying its prospects, challenges, vulnerabilities, and strengths through market research, then creating strategies in line with the results to strengthen Marie Stopes Tanzania’s competitive edge.
- Managing planning, timely reporting, and stock movement.
Minimum Requirements:
- A degree from a recognized university in biology or biomedical sciences, a diploma in pharmacy or clinical medicine, or nursing.
- Three to four years of practical experience in medical sales, detailing, or a similar profession (individuals with high academic credentials and prior FMCG or pharmaceutical sales experience may be eligible for entry-level positions).
- Three years of solid pharmaceutical sales expertise with a focus on health product marketing or sales.
- Shown expertise in medical sales or as a pharmaceutical representative.
- Good organizational and time management abilities, as well as familiarity with databases, statistics, product lines, and the most recent medical issues.
- Proficiency in analytical and retail mathematics is required. It will be beneficial to have more training in FMCG and/or pharmaceutical marketing.
- The capacity to employ technology and procedures for daily sales reporting.
- Substantial expertise in the fields of pharmaceuticals and family planning.
- Long-distance driving skills and a valid driver’s license are essential.
- Self-driven, diligent, and convincing.
- Incredibly brilliant, quick to make decisions, and has strong people skills.
- Strong management and customer relations abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of distributor relationship management in all its facets.
Health Management Information Systems and Monitoring & Evaluation Officer: 2 Positions: Based in Dare es Salaam and Mwanza Â
Role Purpose:
Daily support of MST’s data reporting systems, CLIC PLUS, PETRAS, and EHR, to outreach teams, public health facilities, and centers will be the primary duty of the HMIS and M&E officer, who will report to the Monitoring & Evaluation Manager and Health Management Information Systems (HMIS).
Among the key responsibilities:
- Assisting in the creation and running of an organization-level M&E-MIS system that collects data according to the program M&E framework’s objectives and indicators.
- Helping project managers create reports on necessary key metrics on a quarterly or annual basis.
- Overseeing and putting into place the performance-based monitoring system to help Marie Stopes Tanzania reach its goals on schedule.
- Regularly and methodically updating the M&E datasets.
- Creating and revising the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and standards as needed to ensure that M&E operates in the most effective and methodical manner possible.
- Evaluating the performance of MIS data utilized in various program activities at the facility and community levels.
- Ensure the quality of data at all project levels, including service delivery points.
- Mentor employees and double-check the use of standard data gathering methods by conducting supervision visits to service delivery points every three months.
Minimum Requirements:
- A degree from a recognized university in computer science, information technology, statistics, epidemiology, or a related field.
- Preferably, you have a postgraduate degree in monitoring and evaluation, health systems administration, social sciences, or another related field.
- Demonstrated experience (at least three years) in a monitoring and evaluation or research capacity, with a strong background in data triangulation and using health information systems, such as the national DHIS2.
- Strong mental and analytical abilities are crucial, as is a high level of numerical proficiency.
- It is crucial to have strong Excel abilities in order to construct tools that simplify data collection, analysis, and presentation, as well as to generate analytical tables and graphical outputs.
- It is preferable to have experience with reproductive health data.
- It is preferable to have prior experience conducting research with standard health data.
- It is very desirable to have someone who can explain complicated HMIS ideas to non-experts and is a good persuader and negotiator who is proficient in both English and Kiswahili.
- It is preferable to have prior experience creating end-user reports that are easy to understand and include charts and graphs.
- It is preferable to have prior experience working for an organization that prioritizes execution.
