The Nigerian Army has released its list of shortlisted candidates for the Direct Short Service Commission Course 26/2023. The list, which is available to view on the official Nigerian Army website and in PDF form, contains the names of all applicants who have successfully applied for the DSSC Course. Shortlisted Nigerian Army DSSC Candidates PDF The shortlisted applicants are all eligible to receive invitations for further screening, which will include a medical examination, physical and psychometric assessments. The successful applicants will then go on to commence their military training at The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA). Important Details

A.) Candidates must bring the following to the Selection Board venue on March 21, 2023:

1. Writing materials including ruler and eraser.
2. Two pairs of plain white short sleeve vests.
3. Two pairs of navy blue shorts.
4. Canvas shoes/trainers and white socks.
5. Toiletries.
6. Set of cutleries including plates and drinking cups.
7. Beddings to include blankets, bedspreads and pillow cases etc.
8. Four copies of full size colour photographs at standing position in suit.

B.) Physical, medical, and academic tests will be administered as part of the Selection Exercise. All candidates will also be interviewed orally.

C.) Each candidate will be required to produce original and photocopies of the following:

1. All academic/professional certificates, including testimonials, as well as a valid NYSC discharge or Exemption Certificate, should be kept in a file jacket.
2. Certificate of ordination for candidates seeking Directorate of Chaplain Services (Protestant/Roman Catholic).
3. Certificate of “Call to Bar” for candidates seeking Directorate of Legal Service.
4. Valid birth certificate as endorsed by the National Population Commission, hospital, Local Government Council of birth or valid age declaration.
5. Valid certificate of state of origin.
6. Military Identity Card (members of the Armed Forces only).
7. Letter of recommendation by Commanding Officers/Commanders (for military personnel).
8. Letter of sponsorship in tertiary academic institution (for military personnel).
9. Printed Bank Verification Number (BVN) certificate authenticated by a bank.
10. Completed copies of the print outs from the portal including referee forms.

D.) Candidates are to note that any alteration on their documents will render the documents invalid and eventually lead to disqualification.

E.) Candidates will be fed and accommodated throughout the duration of the selection board.
Candidates would be responsible for their transportation to and from the venue of the selection board.

F.) The use of personal/private vehicles will not be allowed throughout the duration of the selection board.

G.) Visitors will not be allowed at the venue of the selection board.

H.) Shortlisted DSSC 27/2023 candidates are to report at Nigerian Defence Academy (old site), Kaduna State on 21 March 2023 from 8 am. Candidates who arrive later than 9 am on 22 March 2023 will be disqualified.

I.) All candidates are expected to maintain a high level of discipline. Candidates who violate any of the instructions given during the selection process will be disqualified.
