Job Summary:
In addition to supporting customers in all operational matters, maintaining regulatory compliance, and participating in all new product innovations, the operations officer’s goals are to guarantee operational excellence, process improvement, and risk management inside the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the processing of all bank instructions, fee deductions, and other financial transactions pertaining to trading, brokerage, investment, and advisory business operations. Verify the accuracy and consistency of client agreements, transactions, and paperwork.
- preparing transaction settlements on time and sharing them with finance for implementation
- Ensure the timely and accurate execution of customer instructions while monitoring investor maturity.
- In order to ensure accurate assessment and reposting of expired orders, manage the dealing sheet.
- Monitor, balance, and coordinate all corporate transactions with finance.
- Create and provide operational reports to stakeholders, including management and finance. • Keep up with the appropriate registers, making sure that the data is always correct and pertinent.
- Assure KYC compliance by opening internal CSD and CDS accounts for clients.
- Create daily reports that highlight important indicators and distribute them to the appropriate business units.
- Handle customer requests for things like securities purchases and sales, investment guidelines, statements, contract notes, certifications, and account updates, among other things.
- Monitor customer feedback and complaints, and promptly and effectively address them.
- To manage risks and guarantee adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements, create and maintain effective operational procedures and controls.
- Create and put into place new operational protocols and controls to improve the team’s overall performance.
- Monitor and assess operational risks associated with trading, investment, and advisory activities.
- Notify the leadership of operations, business, and risk of any risks, both real and near-miss.
- Work together within the company to address operational problems and optimize procedures.
- To improve productivity and operational efficiency, manage and maximize the use of technological platforms and systems.
- participating in a range of initiatives and projects pertaining to new goods, services, or market trends.
- Team members should receive direction, instruction, and mentoring.
- Follow any additional instructions as needed.

Qualifications & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline.
- Three to five years of experience overseeing trade clearance and settlements
- General knowledge of the relationships between brokers and dealers
- A cooperative team member with a positive outlook and adaptability in their work schedule
- An extremely driven and tenacious person with a track record of taking the initiative and working both solo and collaboratively
- An Investment Operations Certificate holder or someone with a similar credential
- Having a Securities Investment & Trading certificate will be beneficial.
