Requirements:

• Certificate, Diploma in Education or Diploma in primary Teacher education (DPTE)

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

i. Research new topic areas, maintaining up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials ii. Manage students’ behavior in the classroom and on school premises, and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehavior iii. Communicate with parents and guardians over students’ progress and participate in departmental meetings, parents’ meetings and whole-school training events iv. Liaise with other professionals, such as learning mentors, careers advisers, educational psychologists and education welfare officers

• v. Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, such as outings, social activities and sporting events

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

1. At least three (3) years of relevant experience from a reputable organization
2. Must have at least three years teaching experience
3. Age limit: below 45 years
4. Knowledge on relevant ICT skills
5. Excellent problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
6. The ability to make decision in stressful environments
