Mlimani SACCOS Ltd (MSL) Various Vacancies March 2024, Jobs Mlimani SACCOS Ltd (MSL) is a Saving and Credit Cooperative Society registered in year 2003 with the aim of serving the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) employees, their immediate families and retirees with financial services at affordable costs using the Cooperative Business Model. Currently, MSL is looking for qualified and eligible Tanzanians to fill vacant positions as part of its effort to build a strong, innovative and efficient management team that will fast track the realization of its mission.
1. LOAN OFFICER 1 POSITION
The Loan Officer shall report directly to the Manager/Chief Accountant of MSL and shall be responsible for reviewing, authorizing and recommending loans for approval. He or She shall meet with applicants to determine their creditworthiness before deciding the type(s) of loan(s) to be offered. He or She shall scrutinize each application individually to determine eligible loan amount based on specific principles. The Loan Officer shall at any given time, stay current with lending regulations, the economy and market rates.

Professional and Academic Requirements
- Bachelor of Commerce (Finance /Accounting) OR equivalent qualifications from accredited University/institution.
- Age between 20-55
- At least one-year relevant working experience at managerial level in a SACCOS or financial institution (Micro-Finance).
- Experience with accounting software is a plus
- Possession of MBA, Qualifications in SACCOS’s operations, first degree in Cooperative Management, Business Management, Microfinance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship will be an added advantage.
- Customer service-oriented with exceptional marketing skills.
2. MANAGER/CHIEF ACCOUNTANT 1 POSITION
The Manager/Chief Accountant shall be responsible to the MSL Board for planning, co-ordination, and guiding the SACCOs Management in implementing the SACCOS’s Strategic Objectives and Policies.

Bachelor of Commerce (Finance/Banking/Accounting) OR Bachelor of Business Administration OR B.A. Economics, or any other degree coupled qualifications in finance and accounting OR any equivalent qualifications from accredited University/lnstitution. CPA(T) Age between 25-55 years. At least three-year relevant working experience at managerial level in a SACCOS or financial institution (Micro-Finance).
Certificate of good conduct. Possession of MBA, Certifications in SACCOS’s operations, first degree in Cooperative Management, Business Management, Microfinance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship will be an added advantage. Other Requirements
Experience in strategic management including planning, goal setting, implementation, monitoring and evaluation and reporting: strong team building skills and able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure maximum efficiency from the human resource. Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations.
Computer literacy and skills (Advanced user of MS Word, Excel), knowledge and proficiency in computerized accounting operations and financial management systems. In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
3. ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT 2 POSITION
The Assistant Accountant shall report directly to the Manager/Chief Accountant of MSL and shall help MSL to make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, correcting and communicating the financial position of MSL finances. He/she shall be responsible for recording transactions, compiling and analyzing data, perform financial audits, reconciling bank statements assist with budgets and financial forecasting, compute taxes, and report his/ her findings to MSL Manager/Chief Accountant for onward presentation to the Board. He or She shall ensure that financial records of MSL are accurate throughout the year.
