Collaborating with a wide array of local and international stakeholders such as the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly, and Children (MOHCDGEC), President’s Office Regional Authorities and Local Government (PORALG), donor agencies, academic institutions, implementing partners, civil society, and community-based organizations, MDH strives to achieve its objectives effectively.
In conjunction with the Dar es Salaam City Council and several municipal councils including Temeke, Kinondoni, Kigamboni, and Ubungo, MDH is actively recruiting qualified individuals for the role of Logistics Officer across 21 positions within various locations. Reporting to the Facility In-charge, the Logistics Officers will play a crucial role in facilitating the transportation of specimens from health facilities to laboratories, distributing essential tools, supplies, and equipment to designated destinations, and ensuring adherence to safe driving practices while operating motorcycles, among other responsibilities.
Applicants for the Logistics Officer position are expected to meet specific educational, work experience, and skill requirements. These include a minimum of secondary school education with proficiency in both English and Kiswahili, possession of a driving certificate from a recognized institution, a valid class ‘A’ driving license (class ‘B’ license preferred), at least three years of driving experience, and the ability to ride a motorcycle. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate honesty, trustworthiness, confidentiality, innovation, integrity, and the capability to work with minimal supervision, along with a willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
