The logistics/delivery personnel career at Phomas Diagnostics plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of orders to customers. This role involves handling and verifying deliveries and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
Delivery Management:
- Deliver orders within Dar es Salaam using the company vehicle.
- Coordinate with public transport services for deliveries outside Dar es Salaam, ensuring customers receive their orders at the designated pick-up stations.
- Obtain and maintain proof of delivery documents (e.g., signed delivery notes).
Packing and Verification:
- Verify the accuracy of items picked and packed against the sales order before delivery.
- Ensure packages are securely packed and labelled for safe transport.
Customer Interaction:
- Act as a company representative during deliveries, providing excellent customer service.
- Address any customer inquiries or issues related to deliveries and escalate them to the relevant department if needed.
Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance:
- Maintain the company vehicle in good condition, ensuring timely servicing and cleanliness.
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to the supervisor.
Documentation and reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage logs and delivery receipts.
- Provide regular delivery status updates to the reception and sales teams.

Key Qualifications
Education: A diploma in logistics or supply chain management.
Experience: 1-4 years of experience in logistics, delivery, or a similar role.
Skills:
- Valid and clean driver’s license (for delivery within Dar es Salaam).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Punctual and reliable.
- High level of integrity and accountability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions:
- Location: Primarily field-based within Dar es Salaam and occasional travel to delivery stations outside the city.
- Hours: 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime or weekend deliveries as required.
