VACANCIES AT JERUSALEM PRE AND PRIMARY SCHOL MBEZI BEACH

Jerusalem Pre and Primary School is currently looking for;

1. Pre-school teachers who will provide education, care, and nurturing in a school setting for young children. Main responsibility is educating children about fundamental concepts, such as colours, letters, numbers, and shapes. Encouraging social interactions between children and improving their self-esteem. Engaging in creative methods of learning, such as arts and crafts, supervised play, and storytelling.

• Primary school teachers who will be responsible for the educational, social, and emotional development of children from age 6 to 12. Also teaching, planning, maintain discipline and delivering lessons across various subjects to students in the primary age range, managing classroom and keeping parents informed about students’ academic progress and behavior etc.

• Pre and primary -teaching assistants who will be responsible for assisting with both teaching and non-academic tasks at the pre and primary school level. They might help students struggling with certain work or concepts one-on-one or in small groups, or they might help with supervising students on the bus and in various activities such as in the library. They might also assist the teacher with the preparation of teaching materials.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• High school diploma or degree from recognized institution to teach in public school is required.
• Montessori curriculum experience is an added advantage (Pre School).
• Early Childhood Education certification from recognized institution
• Proven experience of more than (3) three years teaching young children
• Teaching strategies (certifications) for teaching young children from recognized institutions.
• Basic courses in Reading, Math, and Science

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Possess patience, kindness, creativity, and the ability to respond properly to students’ developing emotional and physical needs.
• Ability to inspire trust and motivate learning, as well as develop age-appropriate lessons.
• Good communication with parents, administrators, and children is very important and a willingness to collaborate with other teachers is critical since working with multiple adults in the same room is common.
• Time Management and Leadership Skills
• Cultural Sensitivity, Problem Solving and Listening Skills

• School Administration Officer of more than 3 years of experience administering school activities and holds Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or any related field. She/He will manage various aspects of a school’s operations and supporting its educational mission. Some common roles and duties include managing student enrollment, admissions processes, maintaining accurate student records, overseeing health-related matters such as student health records, security, managing transportation services, including bus schedules, routes etc.  

• Chef who will play a crucial role in providing nourishing and appealing meals to students, ensuring that meals are visually appealing and well-presented to encourage student consumption, food portion control, maintaining hygiene, contributing to their overall health and well-being. Qualification and Experience; Certificate of Ordinary level education and comprehensive span of 5 years in cooking meals in schools.
