Job Purpose & Responsibilities:

The main responsibilities of the Business Development Support are mainly, but not limited to:

– Work closely with Delivery & Procurement Teams (MSK/HSUED) for standardization on transport rates & invoicing

– Maintenance, storage and preparation of Inland Delivery vendor contracts for Hamburg Süd internal departments

– Ensuring the flow of information (e.g. rates, surcharges and uncertainties) between Procurement and Dispatch (HSUED)

– Focal point for ML Procurement colleagues and HS dispatchers to strengthen the cooperation between both parties (special system, customer and business requirements)

– Data governance of new intermodal vendor rates, adjustment of existing rates, system and logical maintenance in HS intermodal tariff system

– Ensuring that all internal basic data in the HS intermodal system are up to date

– Downloading & uploading, extracting and preparing data of the intermodal tariff system for the HS transport management system (GIM)

– Updating/preparing Hamburg Süd intermodal key figures into Globe (operative system of HS)

– keeping inland schedules (rail and barge) updated into Globe

– Serve as first point of contact to resolve inconsistencies on invoiced surcharges with ML Procurement

– Vendor controlling & Performance Review with Volumes/commitments(service per Vendor with focus on corridors and costs

– Process optimization and improvements for Maersk & HSUED

– Overall improve the structure and processes of system maintenance rates & invoice handling

– Strong understanding of the internal processes of Hamburg Süd dispatch and Procurement combined with professional know-how of the shipping industry
