What is Afrima music awards means
The All Africa Music Awards, or AFRIMA for short, are a yearly ceremony. The African Union (AU) and the International Committee AFRIMA created the awards ceremony to honor and celebrate musical creations, talents, and originality on the African continent and to promote its rich cultural legacy. Its 2014 Pioneer Awards ceremony took place.

Between 2014 and 2016, three award editions were held in Nigeria. In 2017, Nigeria acquired the hosting rights for the fourth year in a row once more.
But from December 2018 until December 2020, the Republic of Ghana will have the honor of hosting the All Africa Music Awards. The Republic of Ghana was denied the opportunity to host the 2019 and 2020 All Africa Music Awards, AFRIMA, on Monday, July 15, 2019, due to the Host Country’s inability to fulfill the financial and contractual commitments made on July 12, 2018, which were necessary to continue hosting the largest music festival in Africa.
