Role Overview

Join Binance’s Risk & Compliance team as a Cryptocurrency Investigations & Risk Analyst. You will conduct in-depth due diligence on digital assets, identify malicious activity, and safeguard our ecosystem against fraud and financial crime.

Key Responsibilities

1. Risk Assessment & Due Diligence

• Analyze on-chain and off-chain transactions, account behaviors, and digital asset issuers to assess risks.
• Conduct open-source and corporate data investigations to evaluate asset legitimacy.
• Identify abnormal or malicious activity (e.g., fraud, market manipulation) linked to digital assets.

2. Blockchain Analysis & Reporting

• Trace funds using blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Chainalysis, TRM Labs) and block explorers.
• Document investigative steps, data sources, and conclusions in clear, concise reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Legal, Compliance, Security) to share findings and mitigate risks.

3. Threat Intelligence & Strategy

• Stay updated on crypto-related fraud tactics, crime trends, and emerging risks.
• Develop methodologies to detect and prevent sophisticated crypto threats.
• Leverage data analysis to derive actionable insights from large datasets.

Requirements

Mandatory

• Crypto Native Expertise:
  • Deep understanding of L1 blockchains, L2 protocols, DeFi, and crypto-sector risks.
  • Proficiency in blockchain analytics tools (e.g., Etherscan, Dune Analytics) and OSINT techniques.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years in cryptocurrency investigations, financial crime analysis, or corporate due diligence.
  • Proven ability to trace individuals/entities through blockchain data and open-source research.
• Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent written communication to articulate findings clearly.

Preferred

• Fluency in Chinese or Russian (for cross-border collaboration).
• Experience with SQL queries and data visualization tools like Dune Analytics.
