BRAC is one of the largest providers of non-formal education in the world. We have been running schools in Bangladesh for 30+ years and internationally since 2002. BRAC currently operates a global pre-primary school program in Bangladesh, Tanzania, and Uganda, and we are developing markets for early childhood development (ECD) for 3-5-year-olds in the same countries through our ‘Play Labs’ project. In Tanzania, this includes the operation of 30 play labs co-located with the Tanzanian Government and funded through the Yidan Prize.
Marketing Intern at BRAC
BRAC Enterprises Tanzania Limited (BETL) is a registered private company in Tanzania. Working as a social enterprise, BETL is currently piloting a cross-subsidy business model for ECD to improve the development of 3-5-year-old children in Tanzania. Through this project, BRAC aims to catalyse the ECD private sector in Tanzania by developing a sustainable business model for the provision of low-cost, high-quality, and scalable play-based ECD program. The BETL team recently opened five schools and is in the process of launching one mobile ECD program in Dar es Salaam

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our team. As a Marketing Intern, you will work closely with our communication department to assist in various marketing initiatives. This is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional start up and contribute to our organization’s growth. The ideal candidate should have a passion for marketing, excellent communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor analysis, and customer preferences.
- Help create content for various marketing channels, including social media.
- Monitor and engage with our social media platforms, respond to comments, and interact with followers.
- Support the coordination of marketing events, such as school open days, community events, or school launches.
- Collaborate with the communication team to develop and execute promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and presentations.
- Assist in analyzing marketing data, such as website analytics, social media metrics, and campaign results.
- Help maintain marketing databases and update customer records.
- Stay up to date with marketing trends, industry news, and emerging digital platforms.
Required Skills / Capacity

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in using social media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
