BACHELOR OF ARTS IN FINE ARTS AND DESIGN
This is a self-job creation professional training intended to create a generation of Tanzanians who are able to appreciate and create works of art for national and international consumption. The programme also provides students with skills in film and television to enable them expand their working platforms and markets for their works.
What and how will you learn?
Students shall be taught how to create and produce arts and design works. Learning modalities will include lectures, tutorial/seminars, and assignments, with special emphasis on field practical training..
Entry requirements
Direct entry qualifications
Two principal passes, one in any of the following language subjects: Kiswahili/ English/ French.
Equivalent entry qualifications
Diploma in Fine Arts and Design, Theatre Arts, Development Studies, Art and Design, Film and Television, Music or Community Development with an average of “B’’ or a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Careers
Majority of our graduates are business-savvy (owning their own offices), while others are working in various organizations as Fine Artists, Photographers, Designer Craftspeople, Graphic Designers, Web Designers, Product Designers etc.
