DIPLOMA IN INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
Diploma in Information and Communication Technology (DICT) programme focuses on creating information and communication professionals who are focused on the technology and move in tune with the way the business works. Our DICT programme is designed to prepare competent professionals who can handle ICT issues efficiently and effectively.
What and how will you learn?
Students shall obtain knowledge and skills that shall enable them to develop ICT projects which meet update international standards. The courses will be delivered through a combination of lectures, practical, assignments, independent study and tutorials.
Entry requirements
Direct entry qualifications
- At least ONE Principal pass in any subject in Advanced Level Secondary Education Examination or the East African Certificate of Education (‘A’) Level or Equivalent, OR
- At least TWO subsidiary passes in any SCIENCE subjects in Advanced Level Secondary Education Examination or the East African Certificate of Education (‘A’) Level or Equivalent, OR
- A University of Dodoma Certificate or its Equivalent from any other University recognized by the Tanzania Commission of Universities with an average of grade ‘B’.
Equivalent entry qualifications
An Ordinary Certificate with good grades (Average of B) or a qualification of an Equivalent standard awarded by legal bodies such as National Council for Technical Education (NACTE).
Careers
The programme prepares students to work in various areas, such as production and service sector,ICT hardware and software technicians as well as self-employment.
