Description Of The Post
• Country: Tanzania
• Area of intervention: Based in Pemba South Island, where LVIA will open an office with its Partners PIRO (Popular Inspiring and Relief Organization) and WW-We World. Missions are foreseen in Dar es Salam, Dodoma and Unguja (Zanzibar)
• Donors: European Union
• Sectors: Urban development, access to basic services (water, sanitation, waste management), resilience, community participatory processes, gender equality promotion, participatory development and good governance
• Role: Project Coordinator, representing LVIA in Zanzibar archipelago, activities planning and reporting, networking with Stakeholders and Local Authorities, supervision of administrative/financial issues (procurements, tender preparation, monthly accountancy, financial reporting), human resources responsible
• Refers to: Country Representative in Dodoma, Desk Officer in Italy
• Duration: 12 months (renewable)
• Expected availability: End of September/beginning of October 2023
• Salary: In line with LVIA salary policy.

Preferred
– Previous experiences in Africa, preferably in Tanzania Mainland or Islands.
– Previous experiences working in the NGO sector.
– Previous work experience in urban development, technical assistance to Local Authorities, community development, gender equality, WASH, participatory development and good governance sectors.
– Insights of rural/semi-rural development (masters, specialization courses, etc.).
– Previous experience in projects promoting institutional building and working closely with Local Authorities.
Social Innovation and Human Centered Design projects ideation and implementation experience.
Previous collaborations with L.V.I.A.
